My camouflage experiments began with my love of photography and darkroom film processing, particularly the colour combinations found when looking at film negatives (reversed colours).
"La Frange" refers to the fringe, or the edge, and the idea of seeing things from different angles.
A simple line leaves something to the imagination. I enjoy drawing coquettish faces that make you wonder what the subject of the painting is thinking.
Enigma is the ultimate camouflage: you have to read between the lines to see what is really there.
